Description: A collection of unique designs inspired by Celtic art and proverbs. Two colorways are included for the band sampler: blue and green. An alphabet is included in the leaflet should you care to use your own words in place of the charted ones. The designs utilize Watercolour specialty fibers from Caron Collection, Silk 'n Colors from The Thread Gatherer, DMC rayon, Kreinik metallic braid and silk Mori colors, Mill Hill beads, and floss.

Background Information: These designs are built around the band sampler piece: you'll probably be able to see right away that the borders are taken from it. One of the joys of using a computer when designing is the relative ease with which a designer may manipulate motifs into interesting alternate arrangements...you can move stuff around really easy! In experimenting with the bands from the sampler, I came up with several borders that I wanted to share with you. The proverbs are "as old as the hills" (literally!)...passed down through time, these pithy, no-nonsense sayings are as relevant today as they were hundreds of years ago!

Stitching Comments: This collection has something for all stitching skill levels. The ornament introduces you to all of the specialty stitches used in the designs. The sampler is fairly small and makes a nice first sampler project. The borders are just plain "fun"! I hope you'll enjoy the collection!
